How to test HAIR POROSITY?

Finding the ability of hair to retain or hold the moisture is mandatory because it makes easier to understand to manage and style hair. There are different tests to find hair porosity. The easiest and cheap test is glass test.

Steps-

1. Take half glass of water

2. Take 2-3 hair strand

3. Drop hair strand into water

4. Let it sit for 4-5 min into water

Results-

1. High Porosity- 

Hair strand sinks into water and it sit in the bottom of glass

2. Medium Porosity-

Hair strand floats in middle of glass or into water 

3. Low Porosity- 

Hair strand floats on water
